Get Ready to Learn!
What is the Imagination Fair?
There are three parts to the Sugar Creek Imagination fair.
Part 1: Students create!
The first part of the Imagination Fair is when students work on their Imagination Fair projects at home. All students can choose to create a science project, an author project, or BOTH! 4th and 5th grade students can also choose to create a multimedia project, using technology to create a video to share.
For each project, the adult helper can help their student make a plan and keep on track to get the project finished.

Part 2: Judging
All projects are judged by professionals in the community prior to the evening event on 3/11.
Part 3: Celebration Event!
The final part of the Imagination Fair is the celebration of students’ hard work and a fun night of learning at the Imagination Fair event on March 11 from 5:30-7:30PM.
Bring a wifi enable device with you and pick up a passport when you arrive so you don’t miss any of the fun! The passport will have a list of activities for you to try, and once you complete your passport, you can turn it in for your chance to win fun raffle prizes!
One of the main goals of the celebration event is to celebrate all the hard work the students have done! All student’s science projects will be showcased in the gym. Throughout the school, you can listen to or watch videos of authors sharing their projects. You can also check out all the great videos made by our 4th and 5th graders in various locations throughout the school. Make sure to stamp your passport as you visit each event!
In addition to celebrating everyone’s hard work, there will also be fun, hands-on science, multimedia, and writing activities for everyone to enjoy. This is what makes the celebration so much fun because you can join in on the fun and learning even if you didn’t create a project this year (and maybe you will see how awesome it is and create one next year!). Don’t forget to bring a device with you so you can download and use some awesome learning apps during the event!
Don’t forget, there will also be an awesome Scholastic Book Fair. Not only can you get some fantastic books, part of your purchase also goes right back to Sugar Creek to fund fun events like the Imagination Fair!
One change for 2022 will be that we are not serving a pizza dinner. Instead, all families will receive a snack bag to enjoy on your way home from the event. Please plan ahead and eat before you come or after the event is over. Feel free to enjoy snacks outside the building or in your car and bring a water bottle to fill up at the water fountains.
We are so excited to be able to celebrate learning with you again, and hope that you will join us for this awesome event!
