How to Help your Child
Keep in mind the goals for the Imagination Fair and help your child to learn, create, and explore!
Goals:
- Reinforce science, literacy, and math skills
- Foster curiosity, creativity
- Increase scientific knowledge
- Learn how to research a topic
- Learn how to work independently
- Develop positive attitudes about themselves and their abilities
- Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills
Parent support and assistance is essential to your child’s success.
Help your child develop a timeline and task list. Check in with your child to be sure they are working on their tasks.
Help your child as appropriate for their age/grade level:
4th and 5th graders: should be able to do most of the project by themselves
2nd and 3rd graders: should be able to do many parts
K and 1st graders: will need help for most of the project
