Author Event
Guidelines
There are just a few guidelines everyone needs to be aware of:
- The Author Event is open to students in all grade levels at Sugar Creek Elementary School.
- Students may write in either Spanish or English (or both).
- Each student should submit a writing piece they have worked on alone.
- Students should submit one writing piece in one category only.
- Projects should be original and represent the best effort of the student. (Show us your best stuff!!!)
- Students may submit projects they have completed for school assignments or other contests.
- All projects need to be legible and use good grammar, but they do not have to be typed.
- It is okay to use computer programs and/or adult help to check spelling, punctuation and grammar.
- Submitted projects should have a title and include the student's name, teacher's name and grade.
- Please submit projects to a classroom teacher by Tuesday, February 22.
- If students plan to read their projects at the Author Event, then they should practice their presentation a few times in front of family and friends. It is helpful to make a copy for practicing at home when you submit your project.
